The Grand Palace
Built in 1782 for the Thai King, Royal court, and the administrative seat of government, this is Bangkok’s most famous landmark. It’s also the home to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is the central Buddhist temple in the country.
Temple of the Reclining Buddha
This is the city’s oldest temple, known for the giant reclining Buddha that measures 46 metres long and 15 metres tall. It’s a 10-minute walk from The Grand Palace, and is open from 8 A.M.to 5 P.M. Observe proper attire and do not wear anything above the knee and exposes the shoulders.
The Temple of Dawn
Located in the western part of Chao Phraya, this temple has a unique design compared to other temples in the city. The ideal time to visit is during the early morning to avoid the crowd and late afternoon as it lights up after sunset. Its spire is 70-metres high with little pieces of coloured glass and Chinese porcelain.
